Mamas Mink ~ Gulf Front ~ Cape San Blas FL Vacation Rental

WE love Mama's Mink, we have vacationed in Cape San Blas for 9 years, and enjoy working with Pristine Properties. This is our first time to stay at Mama's Mink, and we are very impressed. I think Mama's Mink is my favorite Property. They delivered a new red couch on our first day there, loved it, and the home is very comfortable and very well decorated.

We will be back every year, this was the best vacation that we have ever taken and Pristine Properties helped make that possible. Thank you so much.

Mams's mink needs some serious updating! The bones of the house are okay, as well as it's location, but that is the only positive my family has to say about it. The house is very dirty, the walls are dirty, the carpeting is filthy, the living room ceiling looks like it's going to spring a leak and fall down on you. The kitchen's microwave is full of rust, as are the pans that you cook with. The furniture is so dirty, that the first thing I did when we arrived is wash some throws that I found in a closet and covered up the furniture so that we could sit down on it. The fabric on the chairs have holes in them. The TV cabinet was falling apart, so we were afraid to open and close it. The television has a humming sound while running. The dresser knobs fall off of the bedroom furniture. The master bath shower curtain is ripped of the ringers. The toilet tissue holder will not hold the the tissue, as it has been re installed too far apart. The parking is fine for compact cars, but there is no room to open your car doors without hitting the wall or columns inside the covered area if you are in an suv, so we had to park outside.Most of the window screens were ripped and torn, making it difficult to enjoy the view. Numerous light bulbs were burned out, making it hard to find a lamp to turn on, which reminds me, that most of the shades fall off, when you turn them on. For the price that Mama's Mink charges, We expected way more, and were very disappointed in it's extreme lack of up keep. We will not stay there again, nor recommend this property until it is updated. I hope that you will share this review with the property owners. We have been coming to the Cape for 14 years now, and have stayed in numerous properties, and this one tops the list in its uncleanliness.

When we first pulled up we were a little disappointed with the appearance of Mamas Mink. It needs a little tender loving care but also is trying to be sold. The pots and pans were okay and we managed to cook whatever was needed. The master bed was comfy as well as the guest room, my children had no complaints about their room.

The views were awesome, the beach also. The covered decks were very nice. They allowed us to dine outside, although another table with chairs would have been very nice. They also allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the view during the several showers that occurred during our stay.

Overall everything was wonderful. We love Mama's Mink and this was our fifth year to stay there. Our ONLY CONCERN was for the condition of the EXTERIOR of the doors going out onto the decks. They were pretty unslightly, were very rusted, and one even had a large rusted out hole-like place at the base. They were sometimes a little challenging to open and close. One day the upper hinge of the door going out onto the upper porch totally came off the wall. Looked like it had been holding on with one screw and that finally just came out. You all came and promptly repaired it. We love Mama's so much, we hate to see her with any blemishes.

I loved Cape San Blas area-the beach and bay were gorgeous and uncroweded-we had a wonderful vacation and will be back next year-Mama's Mink has the best views of any rental ever-

The pictures on the web site need to be updated. The house was great! The parking is a little tight if you have several cars.
