Relaxing Getaway
We have traveled across the country and stayed in a variety of places. I can say this was one of the most relaxing vacations we have taken. The house was amazing and for just four of us, it was plenty of space. Everyone had their own room with a TV, closet, dresser, and large comfortable bed. The kitchen, living room, and front room were excellent places to congregate as a family and relax. Everything was tastefully decorated to match the beach theme of the surrounding area, and done in a way that made you feel completely relaxed. The golf cart added incredible value to the home, allowing us to reach the beach in less than a minute. The homeowner provided all necessary beach conveniences, including chairs, umbrellas, and sand tools As it goes for the beach, it was amazing! Felt like I had my own private beach, and as someone who prefers to avoid large, crowded spaces, this is exactly what my family and I were looking forward to enjoying. The restaurants in the community and in the town of Port St. Joe were great, not crowded or in the slight bit touristy. The pool(s) on site were large and one was heated, very enjoyable if the beach is not your thing or you want to take a break. Lastly, as a runner, I was able to continue my training with all the miles of running/waking paths available. I high recommend Rest Ashored and the Port St. Joe area!
