Boardwalk Beachcomber

The property is next to a moderately busy road. At night, it was quiet. The king bed maybe could use an upgrade. The location was great. Short walk to beach. Very homey feeling. Very nice decks. Very dog friendly even had a raised feeder with dog bowls. Dog beds under king bed which we didn’t discover till the last day. Comfortable living/ dining furniture. We have stayed at least 20 times on the cape and surrounding areas, and I think this is my favorite. I do think for being on the south end and not on the beach the price was a little high. We loved our stay and thank the owners for sharing

Really enjoyed the stay, just next to a busy road so had to be careful with our dogs. The place was wonderful though, not a far walk from the beach. It’s been kept up well and the location makes it easy to go up further to the cape or to port Saint joe at any time. Would definitely consider staying here again! Great that we can take our dogs!

The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pans and gadgets you could need. There was plenty of room for my family and dog . The outdoor shower and hose was great too. We also enjoyed the gas grill . The community pool was nice to visit after day on beach. It was very refreshing .

We really enjoyed staying at this property. We loved how close the beach was and pool. The house was very nice and beds were very comfortable. I also loved how dog friendly the property is; even including dishes for the dogs to use.

The home is comfortable and a quick walk to the beach. The Owner’s Suite is very nice with a beautiful brand new bathroom . The bedding in the other 2 bedrooms is great quality. Bring your own paper towel, shampoo & dish soap because there is none provided.

The property was very clean and well maintained. We liked the accessibility to the beach and the sun deck! Nicely decorated, comfortable chairs and sofa, and spacious. We hope to return next February

We appreciated that there were so many extras in the kitchen-crock pot, two coffee pots, etc. There are too many plates, pots & pans and maybe could be organized a little better. There was no space in cabinets for dry goods we brought because of too many extras. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the house and location.

Not a fan of the camera that followed your every move and even moved when no one was around. Made me feel like someone was sitting around watching.

To be clear this is an exterior camera mounted as such to view the outside of the property; specifically the yard.  There has been some history of guests parking boats and vehicles in the yard which is against HOA rules and also damaging to the property.

The house was conveniently located on the Cape, you could walk to the park, drive into Port Saint Joe within 20 minutes or the state park at the end of the Cape. The neighborhood pool was very nice and the boardwalk made it an easy walk to the beach.

Overall I must say we enjoyed our stay at the Boardwalk Beachcomber. There is a major issue with the mosquitos all day long. We had friends who were staying at a nearby campground and they didn't have near as many issues with the mosquitos as we did. The Boardwalk Beachcomber's location was perfect! We enjoyed the pool and the boardwalk down to the beach was so nice. Also having the Happy Ours kayak/paddleboard rental directly across the street on the bay was so convenient.
