Overall Rating:

My Husband and our dog, Weston, stayed at Crosswinds the last week of August. Boy, let me tell ya..it’s hard to leave this place. Every morning was walks on the beach, finding tons of shells. Every evening was meeting other people at the Bayou end to watch the beautiful sunsets. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything needed for a wonderful stay. What I loved most was seeing the Resident Eagle, St. George, in the pine tree out back. I was lucky enough to see him fly in and out one morning. It was amazing! You don’t see that in Indiana. He arrived at the same time each morning, just before dawn. I got many beautiful pictures of him. Our walk to the beach was made much simpler with the included beach gear, which we got a wagon and chairs and umbrella. The neighbors next door, in the new house, turned out to be the owners, and were more than gracious to allow us to use the bridge walkover across the Bayou. My only suggestion is that the Owner of Crosswinds invest in the same. It would rent a lot more

Overall the house fit our family of 8 great. However the outside landscaping and deck area needs some attention and maintenance and a path access to the beach. The house was missing key amenities I have always expected in vacation rentals bath towels (we had six for a house that sleeps 8) basic nessesities toilet paper, kitchen trash bags etc. We enjoyed our stay without any major hiccups and would return.
Property Manager Response:
We're happy you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your feedback. We will certainly look into cleaning up the landscaping especially the path to the beach. As for the included house amenities it is our standard to provide one towel set (bath, hand, and wash cloth) per person the house sleeps along with an initial roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, a trash bag for each trash container, plus some starters for coffee, dish washing, and laundry. Please check our "What To Bring" list located on our website under the Travel Guide plus you'll receive a reminder few days prior to arrival. We look forward to seeing you again.

Best beach vacation ever!!! The house is equipped with top of the line everything. No run down shabby anything here. From the custom made shower curtains to the Hinkle knives in the kitchen, everything is top notch. The kitchen is your dream kitchen, everything is there don't bother bringing anything. The pass you get with your stay, is worth $600 (a week) if you choose to use it. We went horseback riding on the beach several days, and yes you could do it everyday if you wanted. After horseback riding, we went Shark fishing, everyone caught a shark. You could do just these two every day, we switched it up a bit. You can take an 8 hr deep sea fishing trip, fill those coolers up for the trip home. If your a golfer you can go play everyday, you can choose as many as you want in one day. But remember only 1 person gets in free

it was great thanks. only a couple things I would have preferred. one is a screen door on door to balcony so I could listen to the ocean at night when I was going to sleep. also the outside deck had nails sticking up. and one more thing a more direct route to the beach. but overall it was nice thank you
