For the past 6 years we have vacationed in Destin. Needless to say we were over the crowds - traffic and sitting on the third row trying to get a glimpse of the ocean. A close friend told us about Mexico beach & I can honestly say this has been the BEST beach vacation in a long time - off the beaten path - no crowds & we felt like we had the beach to ourselves - love the quaint little town that has pretty much all you need. I am already looking at dates for next summer. The Condo At waterside was perfect for 2 families. It was quiet and Convenient. The kitchen was equipped enough for cooking but if you cook anything specific you should probably bring your own utensils - muffin pan etc - only wish the beds had been more comfortable - also the bathrooms by the pool were always locked - so whenever we were at the pool we had to go back to the room on the 4th floor to use the restroom. We tried all the codes that were given to us - but none of them worked - I would definitely stay here again.
Two days before we were scheduled to arrive, the owner of Pristine Properties- Florida called me to tell me there was an "issue" with our condo, and would I mind coming in the summer instead, and they'd even throw in a free weekend. I had booked this condo two months prior, and my friend and I were talking our kids there for spring break, so I told him no, we did not want to come in the summer, we were planning to be there in two days! He said he would call me back, which he did two hours later, and he said he would do everything possible to resolve the "issue" by the time of our arrival. So, of course, I was worried that something was going to be wrong with our condo when we got there, and I was stressed out about the whole thing for two days! The condo turned out to be amazing, no issues that I could see; but why did the owner of Pristine Properties have to do that to me? Also, Pristine Properties never told me that I would need a code to enter the parking lot and also the pool area.
