Mexico Beach Fireworks.Fourth of July, a celebration of our Country’s Independence.  It’s a time for fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies.   Most importantly, the 4th of July is most commonly associated with the beach.  Let’s combine beach, fireworks, barbecues and family reunions and you’ve got the perfect recipe of how to spend your Independence Day from Mexico Beach to Cape San Blas.  You’ll see tents and umbrellas of every color lining the beaches early to make claim on “their” spot for a full day at the beach and a perfect seat for the firework display after sundown.

If you’re staying in Mexico Beach or St. Joe Beach, I’m sure you will enjoy the Best Blast on the Beach.  The festivities kick off with the Sandy Shoe 5K Race/Walk at 6am.  Then the kids will have a blast at the Kid’s Fishing Tournament from 9:30-11:00am.  And at night the fun really begins with the firework show starting around 8pm.

If Gulf County is where you’ve chosen to spend your Independence celebration, then you too will be entertained by the firework display that will be held at Frank Pate Park in Port St. Joe just after sundown.

I hope you’ve made your plans early this year because there’s no more room in the inn.  Make sure before you leave to make plans for next year so that you’ll be assured to get the vacation home perfect for you and your family.
