Update May 19, 2020
We could not be more appreciative of your patience and understanding during the unknown of this unprecedented time with the outbreak of Covid-19. We recognize that the Vacation Rental Ban in Florida and its subsequent extensions has caused much stress on travelers to our area. We can finally say with confidence, this ban has been lifted and we can accept visitors immediately!!!
I know there are many questions concerning the next steps. We are going to do our very best to address these as we move through the next few weeks and until we all get into the groove of normal rental practices. First off, I just want to say we welcome you to our beaches for the dates you have previously booked with Pristine Properties. I know there has been speculation for weeks that vacation stays will be shortened due to requiring dormant periods during stays. There will be no change in dates specific to the ban; however, it is unfair of me to say this without acknowledging there may be other factors that arise that are out of our control that cause a change in date or property. No different than ever before.
Secondly, your health and safety and that of our staff and local residents is of upmost importance to us. Our cleaning staff will be taking extra safety precautions and will follow recommended cleaning guidelines, much like those that have always been the recommended standard in the Vacation Rental industry. This will possibly delay our cleaning crews in between guest stays, so we do ask for your patience if your property is not completely ready at the time of your arrival. Rest assured though, we will be working as hard and as efficiently as possible.
Many of our properties are accessed through keyless locks. Once your reservation is paid in full and confirmed, you will receive a door code through our guest portal. This allows for a no-contact check in. If you have not done so already, please make arrangements immediately to pay your final balance so this process can take place. Our lobbies will be open, but we do ask that you limit visitation to our offices unless necessary. Local staff will be in our office from 9:30 – 5:30 ET, 7 days a week, to field phone calls and answer any questions you may have. We do also have our standard offsite call center that will be available after hours 24/7.
Update May 4, 2020
Also we have had a lot of calls and emails regarding how we’re handling cancellations in the wake of the national concern with the virus. We have implemented the following change to our cancellation policy specific to this situation:
Reservations with Arrival Dates up to May 15, 2020 – if you decide to cancel we will supply you with a credit equal to the amount you have paid towards the reservation for a future stay in that same property. If the future stay is a higher value than the credit applied, you will be asked to pay the difference.
Reservations with Arrival Dates after May 15, 2020 – if you decide to cancel currently you will be subject to our standard cancellation policy which allows for refunds when the dates cancelled are rebooked less a $100 Cancellation Fee.
Remember those that have elected to cover their reservation with Red Sky Travel Insurance please contact them to file a claim for covered reasons such as sickness, injury, or death in the family, 888-889-7409. If you have specific questions regarding your reservation that are not answered above, please contact our office during the local business hours of 9:30am – 5:30pm daily.
Please know that we are taking this very seriously all the way to the cleaning of our properties. While our cleaning practices follow many of the CDC guidelines as it applies to disinfecting common areas within properties, we are certainly making a special effort to be more diligent in the job being done between stays. While cleaning supplies are becoming harder to get we our doing our best to stock up on things to have them available to complete the jobs thoroughly and fully.
We hope that wherever you are now you are safe and looking forward to your upcoming visit to our area. We will do everything we can to make your stay the best it can be in a safe, fun environment. So come down and plan to practice social distancing on the sand and in the sun!
