Purple Haze

Purple Haze was perfect in every way! We have previously stayed at an AIRBNB when coming to Mexico Beach but will use Pristine Properties again for sure! Thank you so much!

Purple Haze was a fantastic property to stay for the week. I was traveling with 2 other friends for an annual girls week vacation. We are avid beach goers and love to stay at a location on the beach. This place was perfect for that. There are a few things that do need improvement. First off the we did arrive about 45 minutes early. Mexico Beach is on Central time however operates on Eastern time which is a bit confusing at first. We called the property management and requested that the door code be activated. They said it wasn't a problem however the code that we were given didn't work. After 3 phone calls and 20 min later we were in! The property is clean, very well maintained and even comes with some beach items such as chairs, toys and boogie boards! The view is fantastic! The major issue that we had was the beds. They are memory foam and HARD AS A ROCK which lead to very uncomfortable nights :( The other issue we had was the darn Nest thermostat that had been recently installed. It was difficult to use and was being controlled by most likely the owner of the property. We would set the temperature, return later to find that the temp was adjusted higher causing it to be very warm and slightly uncomfortable in the home. This went on for 2 days until we called about the warm temp in the house. I understand that the owner is most likely attempting to control their cost but Fla is HOT y'all!! I'm sure they won't be uncomfortable...LOL!! Overall we were pleased with our stay. Mexico Beach and the surrounding area are still recovering from the hurricane at the time of our stay (Aug '22). Plan on making your meals at home unless you want to drive 20 min down the road to Port St Joe for dinner. There were 2 restaurants open that were within a 5 min drive. We don't mind light cooking when out of town! Do make one good grocery store run when you get there and the liquor store too so you'll be set! Would highly recommend this property

Would definitely book again if the mattresses were more comfortable. Planning to visit MB again in the fall.

I was amazed with the Purple Haze house. I love, love, love the decor. Those are my favorite colors. And I will probably try and find some of the exact same picture and decor that are throughout the house. The floor plan was very different. It took me the whole stay to get use to the kitchen being upstairs and bedrooms down. but I love the house, location, and closeness to the beach. Our whole experience was amazing, and I will be back!!!

This place feels like home. The couch was even comfy for a full 8hr rest. It's beautiful, quiet, and amazing. Will definitely book again.

Purple Haze is the perfect getaway house. It’s just off the beach so you can hear the waves from the balconies. This house has everything you need, just bring food and come relax.
