Who is ready to jump off the beaten path and step back to what feels like another place and time? Isn’t that what vacations are meant for? To take you on a journey escaping everyday life to discover the hidden treasures Mother Nature created. Secluded Palms is the most fitting name for this vacation home tucked away amid old Florida palms seemingly preserved over decades.
Filled with Southern Charm and custom artistic character, this two-bedroom, dogtrot-style beach house is the epitome of Southern Hospitality.
Nothing says welcome like walking through the picket fence’s front gate, greeted by the cedar shake exterior and colorful front door and shutters. As you enter, the open central hallway will lead your eyes through the middle of the home to the beautiful view of Indian Pass. On either side of the hallway, you will be drawn to the interior doors that were window shutters of a historical Charleston home in their former life. As the inspiration for this home, the original owner custom fit the door jams to fit these shutter doors. Move your gaze upward, and discover the second floor, open sleeping loft with two twin beds and a TV. There’s even a telescope available for stargazing at night.
As you pass through the hallway, the gulf front side of Secluded Palms houses the spacious and open living area designed for family entertainment. On the west side, the kitchen contains a double oven, a stovetop with six gas burners, a large walk-in pantry, and a moveable island. The kitchen’s focal point is a custom-finished L-shape bar encased in native broken shells matching the impressive chimney in the living room. The open kitchen, dining area, and living room have fantastic views of Indian Pass beach. True to the original dogtrot design, the beachside of the house is highlighted by the gulf front screened deck that stretches the width of the home and up to the top peak of the roof, offering the best seat in the house. This expansive deck includes plenty of seating, a porch swing, and a large outdoor dining table.
With winding boardwalks and shallow steps through native palms and oyster shells, it makes it easy to navigate just below the home. Convenience is key with a large fish cleaning counter and enclosed outdoor shower. The boardwalk continues and dead-ends into a tranquil, secluded beach where the Gulf of Mexico peacefully laps the shoreline.
Coastal charm, southern hospitality, and historical architecture meet modern conveniences and convenes on the beach just off the beaten path, and that’s how we describe Secluded Palms.
