It was a great smaller house on the beach. It was a perfect location for our honeymoon.

The property is as advertised - nothing fancy to the house but fantastic location on the beach. No, the house is not full of the latest and best furnishings, but had plenty of room for our family of four, was clean, and had everything we needed. I actually appreciated that there was not a lot of decorations/other "stuff" that our two small kids could potentially break or ruin. The beds were decently comfortable (not the best but didn't hinder our sleep), and there was plenty of space to stow our stuff so we didn't have to look at suitcases, etc. all week. Being right on the beach is definitely the selling point and our favorite feature of this house.
A couple of notes about previous reviews. There is now a hose outside so you can wash off sand (but no mat at top of stairs), and the fridge looked pretty new and was not rusty. We noticed a plumbing issue (that didn't interfere our use of any part of the house), but the property manager promptly sent a plumber to look at it.

We certainly want the listing to be as transparent as possible about what the property is and what it isn't. We also believe it's priced appropriately given its location and decor. So thank you for your honest feedback and reasonable suggestions on this property.

Beautiful location
The views and beach was absolutely beautiful. The walk to the beach is what I loved the most. The house itself is not in good shape. It is old and very outdated. The furniture was not comfortable at all and not good with small kids due to the very pointy edges, the mattresses need to be thrown out and new ones brought in. You could feel the springs when laying on them. I did love you had 2 king beds that was nice. The coffee table was broken, 2 of the 3 plastic chairs outside were broken. The house really could use a good power washing and that would make a big improvement to the deck. The house has so much potential it is sad to see it getting run down. I absolutely loved the area, but if improvements are not made would not rent house again. Definitely recommend visiting Port St Joe if you have not !!

This property is a great location just steps away from the beach and we loved that! However, it is in severe need of updating. Every part of this house needs some TLC. Previous reviews mentioned the outdoor spigot not working - it is still not working. So the house got a lot of sand in it.

- Posted: 4/12/2022

Thank you for your feedback.  Without a doubt this property is a basic beach house and if you are expecting more this is not the place for you.  As for the outdoor spigot, without going into a lot of details lets just say that it is in the works to be addressed.

Beautiful gulf front view. We enjoyed our stay. So convenient to walk out the door directly to the beach. The home is very comfortable.... Gulf front... beautiful ocean views from every room.

This property is in decline. If you want easy access to the beach, but don't mind an aged Red Roof Inn feel, that is what you'll get here.

This property is in SUCH a great spot, so close to the beach with such amazing views! It has so much potential, but there has obviously been no consideration for the comfort of guests. Everything in the home is as cheap as possible, old, and sometimes even dirty. I loved that there were 2 bedrooms with king size beds. That is SO great for adults who want to travel together. But unfortunately unless some improvements are made to this home, I would not rent it again or recommend it to a friend.

Property had perfect location on beach, very private ! The house itself was outdated...very outdated, couches, chairs, beds, all old and uncomfortable! Old glass table with uncomfortable chairs, I was scared to death the whole time one of the kids was gonna break it or something, didn't look like it'd take much for it to fall aparpressure, we're clean but had no pressure, outside spicket did not work so could use it to wash feet off after being on the beach, before you came inside. The beds were uncomfortable/old....had grandma's comforters from 1980 on there....and lastly if it rains...the whole driveway/walkway floods...no way to get out of car without getting your feet a wet sand mess! I wouldn't stay again but all in all it did its job as a roof over or head while when we wasn't out on the beach

Quiet, cozy house. Big enough for my husband, myself and our 4 teenagers. We enjoyed the beach view and loved that it is just a quick walk to the beach. We arrived as Claudette was leaving, so it rained most of the time we were there. Port St. Joe doesn’t have a lot to do in the rain, so make a backup plan just in case.

This property is basic but everything worked and we had no issues.  Honestly for the price this house was great. It was comfortable and clean. We would stay here again.

The owner replaced the refrigerator since our last stay 2 years ago, which was needed. I feel that the property owner needs to address a couple of issues. The main complaint that I have with the property is the sliding glass doors. Most, if not all, of them really need to be replaced. The door which is used the most (from the living/kitchen area to the rear deck) is extremely difficult to open. I’m a big guy and it took both hands to open. My wife was barely able to open it at all. A smaller or elderly person will not be able to open the door(SAFETY ISSUE)! The other critique is a matter of convenience. There is a water spigot located at the bottom of the stairs leading to the beach, but it doesn’t function. It would’ve been nice to have been able to rinse feet and other objects off before going on to the deck or in the house.

Thank you for this feedback and we'll certainly look into the sliders and especially the water spigot.

furniture was very old, worn and stained. Dollar General curtains that didn't quit close....no outside table. The beach is this places only saving grace.

Would have been nice to have screen doors for the patio doors so a person could open them and hear the ocean. The pictures of the property should be updated to match the property, it is pretty run down and needs attention.

Please note the pictures for this property are accurate.  It is not luxury, it is a basic home that is Beachfront, single level, and priced accordingly.

Interior needs updating floors, furniture, kitchen, beach access was great

This property is by no means a luxury accommodation and is not depicted to be or priced to be so.  It is accurately shown on our site by the pictures and description of the property.  It is for those looking to stay Beach Front for the best value possible; nothing more, nothing less.

I can not understand any bad reviews left about this place. it's simply amazing. the only negative thing I can say about it is that the walkway to the beach needs a little bit of love. there are thorns that will cut you but as long as you watch where you step, this shouldn't be a problem. or just bend down and pull the little thorn stick things out of the sand and toss them aside. it has everything you need. pots, pans, plates, cups, cooking utensils, and plenty of other kitchen supplies. it was clean and it was pretty. I will book this very same property for the same time next year. the water in Indian Pass is pretty murky but DO NOT LET THIS STOP YOU FROM COMING TO THE AREA! we swam in that water and it was just as good as the surrounding blue waters. it is very close to many places with clear blue water. cape san blas is right down the road and the water there is pretty. its also a short drive to port st joe and those beaches are breathtaking. you MUST go to st George island! its also a very short drive from this property and we spent many days there. that island is nothing short of paradise and like 35 miles from this house. all the beaches we secluded and very little people on them. its nowhere close to crowded. cape san blas had the most people off all the beaches and even that wasn't what I call crowded". I do suggest bringing bug spray because there are some yellow fly type insects that come out in the early morning hours and when the sun starts to set and they do bite. it was nothing that will keep you indoors though. there are a few state parks in the area and every one of them are beautiful. beautiful is an understatement to be honest! its a very family friendly place and not the party scene. the people are friendly and their southern draw is too darn cute. this year was the first time I have been to this area in florida and I will make this a yearly vacation. working with pristine properties was simple and easy. they're nice and I probably talked to all of them before I actually made it to indian pass. there is so much I could say but just pack up and go see for yourself.
