This was a true home away from home! The area is beautiful, the home was just as described and provided the right amount of quiet to rest and relax. Amy was a gracious host! Very responsive and everything was described just as it was. The Barefoot Cottages offered the peaceful getaway we were looking for. We will definitely be back!

The only negative to the stay was the location to the “beach”. First, the description says “3 min walk” and “6 min walk”. When looking at the map, this looked possible, but upon arrival, neither of these were accurate. When I contacted the company I was told “that shouldn’t say that”. The beach that was listed as a 3 min walk was off the side of the busy road and was barely wide enough to be considered a beach. The 6 min walk was over a mile away at a public beach access. This was frustrating, as we thought we were in walking distance to a beach, we do not mind a walk, but we do not like to drive our cars to the beach. I would not have booked this property if the description was accurate.

We had a great stay very nice place and very close maybe 6 min drive over the bridge to all the restaurants and grocery store . It is close to the beach but not walkable but only a 5 min drive to the beach . And about a 25 min drive to cape San Blas . Great good in the strip in town tho my favorite was probley the bbq it’s a must try. Very quite place so worked out great for us we enjoyed the quite more peaceful vacation rather then the busy over crowded areas . It was a realization tho once we got there almost everything is closed on Sundays so take the in account when visiting. The house was beautiful and very spacious and the 3 different pools and not to relax at after a day at the beach . The fitness room isn’t much tho maybe 2 people at most at once mainly for cardio and the a cable pulley machine . We would definitely come back to the area tho .

Was in need of repairs. Wasn’t really pet friendly. No trailers allowed. Generally it was a good location but we had several issues which the host attempted to correct timely.

Came down with some friends for my wife’s bday and had a blast. Great location, literally just across the hwy from the beach. The kids had a blast, everything was clean and well equipped, 10/10!** if your group is planning to all shower after the beach make them quick- hot water only lasts about 10 minutes**

The location was beautiful, and convenient to beach access. Amy quickly responded to questions. The house was not very clean when we arrived, the kitchen counter was dirty and the sheets in the bunk bed room were not clean. The bunk bed was extremely noisy and the queen bed was way too soft and low to the ground. Other than that, we had a great time!

Very tastefully decorated. Plenty of nice linens. Kitchen supplies could be updated. Keurig was broken. Missing measuring cups, cheap cutting board and plastic drinking goasses, and pans old and wonky. Overall would recommend. We would stay there again. Also the games would have been nice if all the pieces were there.

Had a great stay. It was very clean and great location. We did lots in the area and checked out many beaches. I will say we had an issue checking in and the lock didn’t work and we didn’t get an answer but thankfully someone answered the rental companies after hours and came to get us in and got us a new code. We had one dog and got linens from the dollar store to cover the couches and chairs. They say pet friendly but charge for any dog hair left. So be aware and prepared.

Beautiful development and lovely home. Only thing to improve would be to have one of the pools heated. It was quite cold but there was a few nicer days when the pool would have been a nice option. Otherwise outstanding property close to the beach.

Beautiful Home in Perfect Location: This place was excellent. Lots on amenities and location to beaches was great. We did have a couple of issues when we got there. TVs had no sound. Property management came out the next day and installed a soundbar and it was fine. We did have an issue with the icemaker. No ice. We called and property manager sent someone to look at it. He could not fix it. They sent someone else out and he could not repair either. He said he would have an appliance guy come out. We were given a time range for the next day. Never happened. We finally just bought bags of ice instead of spending our day waiting on someone to show up. Ice is a necessity on a beach vacation. I am thinking that they should have offered to bring over bags of ice. Would have helped the problem and they could have replaced icemaker at another time.

Our family enjoyed the top screened in porch every evening looking out at the water while we ate our dinner. In the mornings we would spend our time on the screen and porch down stairs enjoying our coffee. The cottage was immaculate, spacious, and very clean we had such a wonderful time there that we look forward to it again next year.

This was our third time staying this season. It is like a second home feel for us! We love this place and it’s always so inviting and private. The host was quick to try and resolve an issue we had upon arrival. Will certainly be back again! I do recommend bringing extras trash bags if you have a lot of trash. ❤️

Great space...: We enjoyed our time at Seas the Day. The space was as advertised and had all the things we needed. Everyone in our family commented on the comfort of the beds. My only disappointment was that we had to leave early due to the MANDATORY hurricane evacuation. We did not purchase travel insurance and were told that we could not receive a refund for our final two nights, even though the evacuation notice was mandatory. I think that is a poor policy!

We loved the porches. (Couldn’t get the fan to work on the upstairs one, but that was ok.) The house was very clean, but the top bunk did have sand in it. Lots of dishes, plenty of towels, but you might want to bring more trash bags and toilet paper. The only downside of the house is the stairs. They are very slick. Don’t recommend for little kids or elderly. Other than that, it was a great house in a cute neighborhood.

Great location: This location was smack dab between Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach. We enjoyed being able to get to both places quickly. We also loved having a pool nearby. We will probably come back.

Place was very nice! Very clean! Loved the screen in porch. The surrounding homes were not occupied, which made it seem even more private for us. The only downside, was I wish I had a better area to walk my dog. You can walk around the neighborhood, but it isn’t too thrilling for a long walk. Outside of the neighborhood is a very busy street with no sidewalks.

Location was 5 minutes drive from Port St. Joe and 2 minutes to the closest free, public beach access and a great greenway. Pool and hot tub in the complex were great for kids and a quick walk from the house. House super clean, kitchen well appointed and easy to find. Will make a return trip!

This was what me and my family needed. Relaxing, beautiful pool, well kept grounds. The cottage was roomy enough to accommodate our little family complete with every amenity needed for a stress free vacation.

We had a great time and a great stay! The location of the cottage is wonderful with beautiful beaches nearby. It is spacious and the beds are comfortable. The cottage does have a bit of wear on some of the interior finishes and the carpet is quite stained. Overall, these didn’t detract from our time. We would stay again, as the host has already mentioned the carpet is being replaced soon.

Upon arrival the home was cute, but had a moldy smell when walking into the front door. The house looked clean until we walked upstairs. The carpet was absolutely disgusting. There were stains in each room. My son and I both fell down the stairs as they were slippery and steep. The bunk beds definitely need to be tighten or upgraded because they squeak at the slightest move. It woke everyone up anytime I turned in the middle of the night. You can also hear the highway from the bedroom and that was loud. I absolutely hate leaving reviews like this but I do feel as it necessary. We felt gross after leaving and sleeping in the home. Everyone in the area was quiet and friendly otherwise. For the price, I 100% would not recommend this as a stay especially because you have to sign a separate contract with their rental company which I didn’t receive until days before our trip.

People in the complex were friendly and helpful. Amy responded quickly when we asked for an extra trash bag. We enjoyed Port St. Joe and the area beaches. However, there were a number of smaller issues that were disappointing. Only 1 kitchen garbage bag, 2 dishwasher pods, and a limited amount of toilet paper. Master suite has a full size bed, not the queen that was advertised. Carpet upstairs is stained and dirty. 20 minutes after a shower, our feet were dirty from walking around inside. No beach chairs or beach towels. This would have been nice to know in advance. Two swimming pools: water in both was about the same temperature—High 70s. If one is heated (as advertised) it is heated by the sun… Hot tub did not work the first day. Hot tub worked for 3 minutes and then quit on the last day. Signage said pools closed at dusk—the hot tub stopped working 1:15 before sunset. Very disappointing. Screened in porch was definitely not private. Neighbors porch is 10 feet away.

The house was very accommodating! You felt right at home the moment you arrived. The ease of getting into the house was wonderful. 10/10 would recommend. Only issue we had during the whole stay was mainly with the facility. While at the pool a few times people arrived who did not actually live or vacation in the facility. They were teenagers at most and were all over the place and no regard to families there who are paying to enjoy these amenities. Unfortunately there was no one to call or have anything done at that time. Other than that the house was excellent. Great location and easy access. We even had that small section to ourselves which made it even more relaxing and peaceful. Will be returning!

Amy and Renee were excellent hosts with timely communication. The home is great all-around (both kid-friendly and pet-friendly) and well-appointed with essentials and starter items. Our favorite aspect of the home was the screened-in decks, particularly the second-floor deck with views of the water. Thank you for hosting us, Amy and Renee!
