Barefoot Cottages is a gated coastal community just one mile from the beach and three miles from downtown Port St. Joe, offering a peaceful retreat near the beauty of St. Joseph Bay. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood setting, guests can enjoy two community swimming pools, a relaxing hot tub, and plenty of lounge chairs for soaking up the sun. The main pool area also features outdoor showers and shaded dining tables, perfect for gathering with family and friends. With its charming walkable layout, Barefoot Cottages is also a great place to take your dog on a leisurely stroll, making it an inviting destination for both relaxation and coastal adventure.

Just 3 miles away, you'll find Point South Marina, which serves as a central hub for boaters looking to access the Gulf of America and the Intracoastal Waterway. The marina offers exceptional service and a variety of amenities. Boat slips are available for rent on a nightly, weekly, or annual basis. If you prefer not to bring your own boat, you can take advantage of fishing charters and pontoon rentals. As a member of the Freedom Boat Club, simply give them a call, and the friendly staff will ensure your boat is fueled and ready for you to embark on your day's adventure. Don't forget to visit their outfitter shop for ice, cold drinks, and sunscreen. They also carry popular brands like Yeti and Toadfish.
The Cape San Blas Lighthouse, located in George Core Park, home to many local festivals, is only three miles away. Built over 130 years ago to protect the shores of Cape San Blas, the lighthouse has taken up new residence in the City of Port St. Joe. The Keeper’s Quarters are also housed on-site and include a gift shop. Special events take place from time to time, such as full moon lighthouse climbs and the annual easter egg hunt. It’s an excellent place for picnics and exploring.
Reid Avenue in Downtown Port St. Joe is where all the action happens. You’re not going to find any big box stores or chain restaurants here. It’s only unique, local shops, boutiques, and restaurants for the win. Most times, it's the shop owner who will greet you and help you put together the perfect vacation outfit. Fresh local seafood, fire-grilled pizza, gourmet sandwiches, wood-smoked barbecue, and game-day wings will have your mouths watering. Quench your thirst with one of Pepper’s famous margaritas or pour your own craft brew at Red, White and Brew. There is something for the health-conscious as well as those with a nagging sweet tooth.
