Great check in and plenty of room

This was a nice place to stay. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the unpleasant odor in the house. The host was fantastic about being willing to try to fix the smell, but I couldn’t find an essential oil diffuser anywhere in port saint Joe. And my family can’t handle plug ins or other commercial air fresheners due to allergies.

The location of this property is great. The house is located on the corner and the Main Street ends in a beachside park. It is a wonderful location to bring bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, or a golf cart. It is wonderful. We were able to bring our dogs as well.

Falling Star Retreat was a great vacation home, and we would definitely consider staying there again in the future. The house was very inviting, and the presentation of towels and washcloths on the beds was a nice touch. We also appreciated the decorative trays of shells displayed throughout the house. The short walk to the beach was another huge plus during our stay.One area for improvement was communication regarding amenities. We were told the house did not include beach supplies, but there was actually a garage full of them. Since we packed our own supplies, it made for a very tight ride down. I would recommend updating the amenities list on the website so future guests know exactly what is available.The kitchen could also use a few additional cooking supplies. There were no baking/cookie sheets or grilling utensils, and a couple of the spatulas and spoons were damaged.That said, we were able to improvise, and overall the trip was both fun and relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This home was a perfect beach getaway for our family. The home is beautiful and clean. Very spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beach is a very short walk with places to park if you prefer. The Windmark community contains beautiful walking trails and two pools for you to enjoy during your stay. I would highly recommend this location for the perfect beach vacation.

Amy's house was the perfect getaway for our family for spring break. We have two young kids, and with the (very) short walk to the beach we had plenty to do to entertain them. The home itself was beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable, with virtually anything you'd want to have to go to the nearby beach. Amy was great to work with and communicative. The house could have fit another family, easily! Thanks again!
