Beautiful home, very private and pet friendly. Close to delicious food spots in Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach. Enjoyed visiting the quaint shops in both towns as well. Also visited Apalachicola! We needed to move the date and host was unable to accommodate due to their rules, they were still very kind in delivering the bad news for our family.

We had an amazing stay. The home is very well put together and very clean. This was by far the best Airbnb experience and location I’ve experienced. Amy was very responsive and proactive with all instructions concerning checking in and checking out. My family and I will always keep this as a favorite of ours and plan to return for another stay in the future. 5/5 overall vacation.

We had a wonderful stay over the 4th of July. The private beachfront pool was a huge highlight, and the easy private walk to the beach made it even better. The ocean views from the home were beautiful and made every morning and evening especially enjoyable. The home was comfortable, well-maintained, and exactly what we were looking for. We’d definitely stay here again.

We loved Amy’s place. This home was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 3 small children) with plenty of room and multiple floors. The only negative was all the stairs, but there is an elevator which is convenient. The beach was only steps away which made it easy for going back and forth. The park across the road was nice for the kids as well. The kitchen was well equipped and the balconies were great for mornings and evenings. We loved the atmosphere of the area. Very lowkey, non-commercialized. All local restaurants and shops. We look forward to going back as soon as possible!

We couldn’t have loved the setting more! The proximity to the ocean and listening to the waves crashing each day and night was awesome! The home was very, very clean. The check in and check out Instructions were very easy and clear. There are a couple little things that weren’t working properly. My guess is no one ever told the property manager. My husband is a very enthused handyman. He was happy to address a couple of things himself. When we did need to speak to the property manager, they were incredibly responsive and prompt. What a beautiful home!

Probably the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in at the beach! The house was amazing and it was so convenient to have a mini fridge and balcony at each bedroom. My daughter loved the pool and the short walk to the beach from the patio. Perfect place for a family vacation.

The house was nice there were a few minor things that need tended to which I emailed the manager about when they emailed asking me for those things. My mom has mobility issues so the elevator was amazing. The view from the house is breathtaking and access to the beach couldn’t be easier. So nice and quiet in that area. We loved it. Checkin took awhile due to the key code battery being out. We had a great week. The love bugs were awful that week but they have zero control over that.

We enjoyed this gorgeous beach side getaway with all our heart. It was our first visit to the area and this home was everything we could dream of. Gorgeous sunsets from any one of the porches, beautiful decor and bright rooms welcoming you all day long. The house was clean and beds extremely comfortable. The covered private pool was perfect for waiting out the cloudbursts. We had a problem with the pool and all I had to do was send a text and we were contacted and an agent was sent to remedy promptly. We look forward to staying here again!

Gorgeous home and incredible stay: This home is absolutely gorgeous!! It was perfect for our family of 7. My husband and I had our own level on the top floor, which was so nice. On the 3rd level, the boys stayed in the room with the bunk beds, and the girls stayed in the other room. All of the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots, pans, and kitchen utensils anyone could possibly need. I note that the kitchen does not have any spices, so you will need to bring your own if you plan to cook!Being right on the beach was absolutely amazing. When we were done with the beach, the kids would play in the pool. It is small, but perfect for getting out of the sun and still being in water. There is also a Memorial right across the street that has a lovely park and pickleball court. We all had so much fun playing pickleball together and it was so convenient to just walk across the street!The home also provides for a 250 credit to VayKLife, so with that credit we rented a paddle board and an umbrella. The house already had an umbrella and beach chairs, so we were set! You should note that the credit does not apply for the delivery, so you will need to pay for that out of pocket. Still, it is an incredible deal and our family enjoyed the paddleboard every single day, so it was such a nice "extra"! If we ever visit Port Saint Joe again, we will look to see if Oak Rest Barn is available!! As a final note, we did not have any of the insect issues that the previous reviewer had!!

The house is in a unique location with no other houses for several hundred yards on one side! The pool heater had an issue day 1 but was fixed quickly!! Outside temps were in the 60s max but the heater kept the pool 89-91 every day but the coldest day of the week when it dropped to 81. Many places tell you 10 degrees max above the outside temp only but Sunshine did so much better making the pool VERY usable and cozy!! Thanks again!
