Port St. Joe blends small-town Southern character with easy access to some of the Gulf Coast's most beautiful natural landscapes. The historic downtown offers locally owned shops, galleries, and restaurants along Reid Avenue, where visitors can browse for art, antiques, and handmade goods before sitting down to a plate of fresh oysters or grilled grouper.

Nature lovers will find plenty to explore just outside of town. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is consistently ranked among the best beaches in the country, featuring miles of undeveloped shoreline, coastal dunes, and pine flatwoods teeming with wildlife. The park's bay side is a top destination for scalloping in season, and its trails offer excellent birdwatching, especially during migration. Port St. Joe also serves as a convenient launching point for boat tours, offshore fishing charters, and paddling trips through the calm waters of St. Joseph Bay.

The place was nice. We had to sign a rental agreement and I felt like renting the place was difficult because of several back and forth emails requesting additional information. The host is not super friendly but I guess not everyone is. Everything was as expected in the rental. I would stay here again.

We just finished our second stay at Salt Therapy, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the home is well-stocked with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable stay. It's clean, cozy, and the perfect place to unwind. We always enjoy our time here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the water views. The flooring and outdoor shower made it easy to manage sand, and the showers were excellent. The road between the house and beach is busier, with much faster drivers, than expected, so crossing requires extra caution, especially with children. That being said, we crossed many times but surprised at first. Appreciated super quick help, even on a holiday, when the door locked behind us as we were unloading with my phone and door code inside. It’s a random number and the door locks immediately vs a few moment pause like most other properties we’ve encountered, so preparation is key (and access 😅). Good experience and appreciated the features that made beach living and cleanup easy.

Our family had a great time at Salt Therapy! The house is well designed and decorated nicely. Very clean. Being able to walk to the beach was perfect. Everything we needed was provided and the hosts were great! Definitely recommend. Our granddaughter loved her morning runs on the beach. We loved the sunsets! With both Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach so close there were Plenty of nice restaurants. Would love to return!

Modern Beach House: Great stay, very modern and clean. Only thing I would have preferred was a standard coffee maker, not just a Keurig. Ended up buying one at the Dollar General and some basic spices. Nice to at least have salt and pepper when you arrive. Great location just across from the beach, would absolutely stay again.

A great getaway!: This was the best little getaway. Everything was perfect! The location was perfect- it made going to the beach so easy every day and just a short drive to restaurants. Coffee on the porch with view of the ocean was also a favorite. My husband and I had a great time and we are looking forward to returning- and bringing our kids next time!

Had a great stay at Salt Therapy! If you’re looking for a low-key vacation with very easy access to the beach, I would definitely recommend. Everything was clean and the hosts were very responsive. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook meals in, and the house is not far from both St. Joe and Mexico Beach. There was some noise from the tenants upstairs, but nothing out of the ordinary for a multi-unit scenario. If you like a dark bedroom, you may want to bring an eye mask for sleeping because there are no curtains. The unit had sound machines which was a nice bonus. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back to Salt Therapy!
