Surfside 8 - Sandals and Sunsets

Location was very easy to maneuver, especially with dogs. The elevator was wonderful to take our stuff up and bring it down when we left would definitely want to stay here again.

Great condo on the beach! Super clean. Comfortable beds everything we needed was there! Ocean view from balcony. Wonderful week with mom and husband enjoying beach and making memories! Thank you for letting us use your beautiful beach home!

Very easy instructions to get into the condo. Thought for the price you would get an extra trash bag and toilet paper. Not as clean as I would have expected. Coffee machine was very dirty and coffee grounds were all in it. We had to clean it. Floors seem dirty like it could use a good moping. It is very close to the beach. Over all not a bad place to stay.

Great Location: The condominium was just about perfect-the only piddley issues were the lights above the stove and in the oven were out. The trundle in the 2nd bedroom blocks the door from opening when fully pulled out-I think maybe bunk beds would be better. We were fortunate the elevator was inoperable for just one day, and it was the day before we left-thank God it wasn't the day we were leaving-we're old and didn't pack lightly with a 2-1/2 year old grandson🤣-apparently the elevator going out is an ongoing issue. The electric grill was a pleasant surprise!

Very very small condo. Ok for a couple but too small for 4 adults. Second bedroom was so small you had to close door to pull trundle bed out and put it back in to open the door. Second bed ok for 1 person but not for 2. Bed was so high we had difficulty getting on and off it. Not good for senior citizens.

Great location, quiet, relaxing. Dog friendly was a big deal to my family. The actual beach does not allow dogs. If you’re brining your dog, you have to drive about 15 minutes for the dog friendly beach. Mexico Beach does not allow pets on the beach.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The building is beachfront, which I prefer in terms of beach access and views. This unit faces the west(side) as pictured in the description. We enjoyed Gulf views from Adirondack chairs on an ample balcony, especially in the morning and evenings. The kitchen is very tidy and well stocked with equipment, although I prefer to dine out. The two bathrooms are spacious and very clean, as were the bedrooms. We look forward to returning. Thanks for the great accommodations.

Elevator was out the whole time we were there, but workers were working to fix it almost every day, so not much the owner could do about that. Beach view is obstructed by other houses, but the distance from the beach was FANTASTIC! Overall a great experience!

This was our first visit as a family to Mexico Beach, and looked forward to trying a laid back area instead of busier beaches like PC and Destin. Our condo was perfectly adequate, the room was mostly clean, the couch and rug showed some serious wear and tear, but this is the beach- it happens. The bathrooms were spacious, the towel holder in the guest bathroom was broken so we just used the door to hang towels. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils and they have a super nice coffee maker so that was a plus. Plenty of plugs throughout condo to charge things. guest bedroom is very small but perfect for kiddos. There was no full size mirror in condo anywhere which would have been nice to have. Room is close to elevator and there is a nice storage closet outside to store beach gear. beach access was perfect and so close you didn't feel like you were walking a mile to drag all your stuff to the beach. The pool area was clean and very nice, and in the shade most of the day, but the pool is tiny- perfect for toddler size kids but if your child is over probably 7 or 8 they might be disappointed. Several food trucks around you can walk to and a cute ice cream shop about a 6 min walk away. we also drove to downtown St Port Joe and ate at some nice places there, about a 15 min drive. Overall we had a very nice stay and would visit again.

Nice little place: This is a nice condo and very comfortable. Beds and linens are nice. My only complaint is that the floors aren't being cleaned. Our feet were black when walking around which shouldn't occur is the unit is cleaned between guests. I couldn't find a mop and didn't use a towel as I'm sure it would have stained it. So gross.

Have stayed at VRBO properties before, and those have been adequately furnished. At this property the kitchen needs more dish drying towels….there was one for the whole week. There wasn’t even salt and pepper. I think advertising a pool on site is misleading. It is very small…a little larger than a whirlpool. No problems with ck in process. We liked the location and the fact that it is a few steps to the beach and is very quiet there.

We had a great stay for our family if 4. Great location on the beach. Had everything we needed. Please add “S” or “South” to the directions that are sent out in an email with the door code. 118 S 38th St are the directions that need to be on there. Without the S it took us to the non beach side to a condo for sale. When I called the “emergency” # I was told he couldn’t verify my name or address. Other than that everything was great. :)

Clean, comfortable, convenient to the beach: Unit was great, very clean and comfortable furniture and beds. Super great access to the beach and a little pool for the kids to play in. We will come back again.The beach construction is finished and it looks great.

Decent Value, Close to Beach, Some amenities: We loved staying in Mexico Beach. The location was great, with direct access to the beach and close to the market and highway into town for food. A few things prevented us from having a seamless vacation but we didn’t let it ruin our fun! The place was clean but had a pet smell (like a wet dog) and bleach upon entry. The check in process was ok. The property manager was slow to respond and didn’t really help us when we had a few issues in the unit like the coffee make and outlets not working. The guidebook of around town was amazing! However the information was incorrect. The checkout says 10 but we were i no order (after asking for clarity) at 3am of the morning of our departure it was in fact 9am checkout which made it difficult given the lengthy list of items to do. Lastly, the furniture is nice and modern. The pillows could use a refresh as they were bumpy and didn’t have any fluff left. Overall the beds were comfy and cozy and the two bathrooms were a bonus!

Condo on the beach: Nice size unit. Very clean. Nice partial view of ocean from balcony. This section of Mexico beach isn’t very nice. There were Gatorade bottles and other trash everywhere. The beach is also under construction with heavy equipment and a pipeline you have to maneuver around.

Hurricane Helene let us without electricity (today is day 18) and we desperately needed a getaway. We enjoyed our stay. Only complaint was the elevator was broken our entire stay and we were located on the third floor. I highly recommend getting steamed shrimp from Shell shack and from Shipwreck Raw Bar in St. Joe Beach.😊

We loved our stay here, would definitely go back and recommend to others! Even though the unit was on the 3rd floor, it had an elevator which made it easy to access and bring our belonging to and from the room.
