This weekend marks the 47th Annual Florida Seafood Festival in Apalachicola. The 2 day event will be jam packed with different activities and events. If you’ve never attended this festival, it is certainly one you don’t want to miss out on. It’s fun for the whole family. And the food…out of this world!
This year’s entertainment will feature headliner, John Michael Montgomery. He will be joined by The Pistols, Tamara Marsh & Scott Kincaid and Matt Burke. Aside from musical performances, there is also an Oyster Eating & Shucking Contest, Blessing of the Fleet, a 5K Redfish Run, Parade and a Seafood Cooking Contest. There will be fair-like rides and games for the kids to enjoy and arts and crafts exhibits available throughout the festival.
If you’re planning to make the trip to enjoy this festival, think about staying on India Pass. It’s a 20 minute drive from the festival’s location. So, when it’s time from a break from all the action you can retreat to a serene beach all to your own. Indian Pass is a pet friendly beach and one of the most natural in all of Florida.
