Sunsets Along the Forgotten Coast

Two girls watching a sunset. It's hard to beat the sunsets that we experience here along the Forgotten Coast. With the St. Joseph Peninsula, or what we call Cape San Blas, running North and South into the Gulf of Mexico the evening sunset drops in the West directly into the water. The same is true at Mexico Beach and St. Joe Beach. It is truly an amazing sight to watch it sink lower and lower until, poof, you have the legendary green flash before the sun disappears.Fall sunsets typically seem to be just a little more breathtaking than most. I don't know if it's because the days are starting to get shorter, but simply put they are breathtaking. So much so, it's worth a trip to the beach just to see for yourself. As your driving along Highway 98 as it winds along the coast, you'll see car after car pulled over just around 8:00 pm with cameras ready for that perfect shot. Come see for yourself and don't forget to bring your camera.
